au where andrew is a ups driver (he likes driving and he's alone all day, it's a good fit imo) and he keeps having to deliver these giant fucking boxes to this one house on his route until finally he sees the guy and oh no he's hot but andrew is in the middle of carrying a box that's taller than he is and he's Over It so he gracelessy drops the box on neil's doorstep. neil (just returned from a run, sweaty, slightly out of breath) asks what andrew's grudge is with his order. andrew glares and tries to ignore neil's stupid blue eyes, he asks wtf could neil possibly be ordering on a monthly basis that requires a 5 foot something package. neil, 100% serious, says he's collecting famous exy rackets (he's got a lot of blood money and has a hobby yknow). its the dumbest thing andrew has ever heard and he says as much. idk something something, neil says a smartass remark, they keep this up with every delivery until allison (who was at neil's place just to spy on the delivery guy) tells them to stop flirting and get a room. they don't but they do go out (it's not a date bc andrew doesn't do "dates" (it's a date))

I’m so annoyed but it’s such a “first world problem” type thing that I feel stupid for feeling this, but alas, I also simply cannot get over how fucking annoyed I am rn

I’m out of town for a funeral. But, I’m going home Thursday and need dog food cause the last of it got sent with Ponzi and Spork to Ponzi’s breeder’s house. So after 7 pm last night I ordered two bags of dog food on chewy, thinking it would take them a day to process and prepare, and then it would ship on Thursday.

Of fucking course not. I woke up to notifications that it’s shipped. In fact it’s being delivered today, less than 24 hours since my order went in. And I won’t be home until Thursday afternoon so the ants will have a great feast and I will have wasted $100+ and still need to fucking buy more dog food 😭🙃

What the hell kind of delivery is this?

These two trucks were out front. This is a semi-busy country road and these two were pulled over at a random spot, transferring boxes. You’d think they could have found a more appropriate spot for this activity. Later the big truck left and small one two minutes later.

So one of my earbuds went missing yesterday like absolutely GONE type missing my family helped me search everywhere for it to no avail. So I just ordered new ones because if it does show up, oh well I just have a backup set now, and if it didn't show up, I was going to lose it soon without both of my self-regulation noise canceling earbuds on hand. So necessary $30 purchase. But losing my earbud in the middle of my dead boy detectives rewatch is an added dilemma bc I refuse to watch it with only earbud, it deserves the full sound experience. So the rewatch's been put on pause against my will and I am getting antsy waiting to start episode 3. So as you can see I am in quite the agitated state waiting for my headphones to arrive tomorrow

I caved and bought an Xbox Series S (bc it was the only system i could barely afford that can run Veilguard) and it was supposed to get delivered today but now I'm worried Fedex lost it 😭

Today was exhausting BUT one of the places I delivered I got pelted with a massive flock of the biggest grasshoppers I’ve seen in the area and I saw a huge P. audax walking around and I lost all sense of self awareness for a second and immediately crouched down to look at this spider. And the homeowner came out (oh no) but she has the biggest smile on her face as she excitedly asked to know what I had found and then she spent the next ten minutes showing me around her property pointing out all the bug friends she’s been keeping track of. She initially came out because she was hoping I spotted one of the ribbon snakes on her property but the spider was also a delight to her. She found another tinier P. audax right above me also and another unidentified spiderling we tried and failed to catch. The world is good and I’m jealous of her house

new HP computer delivery saga

ordered a new HP computer so i would have 1 computer with the new Microsoft windows 11. not sure if that was necessary but knowing that windows 10 would sunset on my current computer was bothering me.

July 29, 2023 - picked out a laptop computer on HP.com and placed order, paying with credit card

July 31, 2023 - HP ships the new laptop by FedEx ground. i get notification from HP and a tracking link to FedEx that says the computer will be delivered on August 3, 2023

August 2, 2023 - FedEx tracking says the computer is out for delivery. around 1030am, i am in my living room and i see the FedEx truck stop in front of my house. i can see the driver look at his papers and go in the back of the truck and then come back to the papers and back into the truck. after a few minutes, he drives away and no delivery is made.

August 3, 2023 - the FedEx status changes from out for delivery to Pending

August 4, 2023 - i contact FedEx and ask about the delivery status which still shows Pending. FedEx starts an investigation and gives me a case number. FedEx requests information from me on the package so i send them a screenshot of the info from the HP web site.

August 4, 2023 - i call HP customer service to see if they have leverage with FedEx to find the package. HP tells me to wait until after August 8 and that the package will be considered late at that point

August 7, 2023 - i get a phone call from FedEx asking me about the package. the investigator tells me they are following up with the driver.

August 8, 2023 - i get an email from FedEx stating that they can't find the package.

August 9, 2023 - i call HP and they open an investigation and i provide the information from FedEx on their investigation. HP gave me an order number for a new computer. HP tells me the new computer should ship soon.

August 14, 2023 - i call HP because i have not received info on new computer shipment. the supervisor tells me that FedEx is still trying to find the 1st shipment. i go through my story with her and tell her that i feel that i'm being penalized for FedEx's error. i have done everything correct and i don't have my computer. she tells me she will follow up with FedEx and get my replacement computer on its way. she calls me back in 30 minutes and leaves a voicemail that my computer will be shipped today and delivered by August 16, 2023. late in the evening, i receive shipment text message from HP and from FedEx.

August 15, 2023 - new computer is delivered. i'm exhausted but happy to finally receive it.

I love humming birds! They’re such gorgeous animals.

I was delivering to a house one time that had a bunch of hummingbird feeders. The hummingbirds would fight over them. One time I was walking up to the front door and a hummingbird smacked into the side of my head. Turns out they aren’t the best at flying when they’re fighting each other.

Had not one but two packages for me from two separate entities delivered incorrectly to the wrong addresses today (one is still missing), plus one package left at my door that wasn't for me 🙃
